Near the Piazza San Marco and moments away from the most important museums and monuments of Venice, the Luna Hotel Baglioni is the oldest Hotel in the city.
In 1118 the Knights Templars stayed here on their way to the holy Land. As far back as 1574, the chronicles mention the hotel by the name Locanda della Luna (Moon Inn). In the eighteenthcentury, the buildingwas decorated whit the frescoes which adorn the sumptuosus Salone Marco Polo, painted by artists from the school of Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. A recent restoration, completed in 1992, has brought the building back to its original splendour.
Thanks to the important renovation work, elegant and prestigious furnishings and a refined exclusive service, the Luna Baglioni Hotel offers to its guests a delighfull break in the aristocratilly beautiful surroundings with a view of the San Marco Basil and the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore.
