Designed to be royal, luxurious and the same stature of the most accredited hotels in Europe. Located in the noble center of Rome, a city which was and is once again an intersection of cultures and communication.
After more than one year of skilled re-structuring, this 19th century palace – once headquarters of the Roman Maronite community and only a stroll away from the famed Via Veneto – is today a luxury hotel and, in its own way, a symbol of the changes taking place within the Capitol City’s fine tradition of hospitality. Recently baptized as Splendide by guests themselves, the hotel is “toutcourt”, full of that warmth and kindness found usually only among friends. Guests appreciate the richness in style and the spacious architecture.
The rooms – 68, out of which 19 are suites – have kept large traditional dimensions combined with sumptuous Baroque decor and colors: blue periwinkle, golden yellow, bright red. The refinishing, the “boiseries”, damask curtains, as well as impressive antique furniture and paintings: all nurture the ambience with that warm exclusiveness of centuries past.
Many rooms are equipped with luxurious bathrooms which include large windows and spacious whirlpool tubs as well as beautiful terraces overlooking Villa Borghese and the unique Roman skyline.
A site of noble and carefully selected hospitality, The Splendide Royal boasts one of the most elegant “gourmet terraces” in Rome. The Mirabelle is among the best restaurants in town thanks to the class and undisputed professionalism of Bruno Borghesi. The restaurant is a privileged meeting point among the national and international “bel mondo”.
